What are the adverse effects (side effects) of the treatments for male erectile dysfunction? Which treatments are effective?
Diagnosis and Treatment of Erectile Dysfunction

A systematic review of the pharmacological treatment of male erectile dysfunction:
The PDE-5 inhibitors (Cialis, Levitra, Viagra), were superior than placebo in patients with various medical conditions but with more adverse effects compared to other treatments. There was a preference for tadalafil (Cialis) in head-to-head trials of the PDE-5 inhibitors.
Pain and priapism were the adverse effects with intracavernosal or subcutaneous injections.
There was insufficient evidence for topical, intra-urethral, and hormonal treatments for erectile dysfunction.
